murder investigation by IgorKieryluk murder investigation by IgorKieryluk
The first person to bring up CSI gets a smack. I hate CSI. And there are no sunglasses on Ravnica anyway.

Good job. And honestly I hate CSI, none of that stuff is real and the actual solving rate on most crime here in America is only 13%. The show is straight up fantasy. I'd love a good ole whodunnit show that only used wit and clues to figure it out, not mythical sci-fi technology.

How about NCIS? Can I bring that up since this is technically an investigation run by the Ravnican's 'military'? :iconhurrlovecraftplaz:

I am so digging that girl in the middle with her mighty polearm. I definitely like the utilitarian, yet distinctive, nature of their harness (especially her qambeson).

"What was the cause of death?"

"We're pretty sure it's the knives in his back, sir."

Amazing art. I love how everything looks natural and you get a feel for their daily lives in a simple image. Outstanding use of detail in the center image, with a slight fog effect to add a city-like feel and to focus the attention on the middle. Bravo.

Lieutenant: "What do you think happened to him, Commander?"
Commander: "A suicide. Likely due to breaking up with his loved one."
Lieutenant: "...A Suicide? How do you figure that?"
Commander: "Clearly the Magic.... B-) ...left his life."

/YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHH!

(Forgive me! But seriously, this is an amazing piece. I agree, the subtle interaction between the guards is fantastic!"

I just love this. Clean lines, realistic looking people, perfect facial expressions, excellently rendered architecture, tight composition... I just can't express how many ways I like this painting.

"Oh this elves..has to be suicide..he stabbed him self three times..with three knifes...those pointed eared freaks.." that's what a lawful evil guardsman may say.
I lvoe the composition and the way the three city guards in the center interact. The details are blast too, especially the commoner trying to catch a look.

I love how they talked about the design for Dimir involving sets of three to represent the three prongs on either side of the Dimir guildsymbol. If you look, the knives that killed our victim are in a descending pattern of three.

THREE daggers. Whoa. The murderer was either very quick or the dead man refused to die. Still, great art for a card. It has perfect Ravnica atmosphere.

OK, OK, OK, so it's not the Miami version, at best there would be a reference to the New York show.

But I must admit you have done a wonderful scene. .... Though 3 knives seems like a bit of overkill.

Three is the Dimir number. They're kinda obsessed with it for whatever reason. The guy is explaining that just now to the fresh recruits.
